Bailey Garnet | 23/266 | Demon | Holland Roden | TAKEN
↳ “I can give you anything you want, as long as you do a little something for me.”
✔ — sensual, confident, creative
✘ — greedy, malicious, envious
Having lived for so long, its very easy for Bailey Garnet to get caught up in the luxuries life, and her abilities, can offer. She feels that she is just about unstoppable, and sometimes, she really is. Being a seasoned red eyed demon with all the deals she constantly makes, it’s almost as if it will never be enough. Bailey always wants to make more, searching for another sob story she can convince the soul away from. She finds that the easiest way to get men talking is to flirt with them, causing her sensual and promiscuous nature to come in handy - not to mention fun. It becomes easier and easier to get unsuspecting victims to seal their fate with a kiss, leaving Bailey to just desire more of a challenge. Over the years she has become very creative with her deals, doing everything in her power to make the person she is talking with say yes. There is never a moment that passes her by when she isn’t looking for another soul to take. Not even when she is genuinely flirting up the customers in the bars she frequents - that glance over her shoulder being more than just quick look.
Having been all over the world, Bailey has been with her same vessel for quite some time now, not bothering to switch meat suits, but places. Besides, if she stays too long in one place, the deals she can make slow to a halt, which is just unacceptable. That is, until she finds herself in the infamous city of Las Vegas. Immediately captured by the city, she sees endless possibilities for herself, even outside of making deals. It’s probably the reason as to why she has stayed in the city for several years, instead of leaving after she feels she has made all the deals she can. She has surprisingly become enthralled with Las Vegas and its people, so while Bailey still had no problem signing their soul away - she is focusing on other things, too. Like the fact that now that she has settled down into a place, making friends and sometimes more. While she would never admit it, Bailey has become a little jealous of those who live normal lives, even if at the same time, she wouldn’t want just a ‘normal’, boring life. Instead, she wonders if she can have it all, and now that she has the idea in her head, there won’t be much that can stop her.
Holden Parrino | 24 | Witch | Dave Franco | OPEN
↳ “I don’t care about the cost! Do what you have to do and get back to me.”
✔ — ambitious, resourceful, bold
✘ — selfish, untrustworthy, weak-minded
For a Witch with an affinity for fire, losing your parents in an arson makes life seem like an ironic horror novel gone terribly wrong. That ironic horror movie just so happens to be the crooked beginning of Holden Parrino’s life, and all he was left with, as a boy of three or four was a book that weighed more than he did. With the desire to open said book since he’d come into contact with it, but no comprehension of what it meant, Holden moved in with his grandparents. He liked the Las Vegas weather; it made him feel safe… for the most part. There were subtle reminders of the fire almost everywhere – family photo albums, blurry windows and steaming teakettles that made his skin itch so badly, it was unbearable. While his grandparents were healthy influences that wanted the best for him, Holden didn’t quite grow into the man they’d intended him to. The moment she’d laid eyes on the book, his grandmother had hidden it in the attic. Black magic had killed her daughter, and she wouldn’t have the so-called legacy take another member of her family. Little did she know, the deprivation would be her grandson’s undoing.
High school was rough. It was filled with people that always asked the wrong questions – and eventually, it came to be too much. Dabbling into marijuana was the gateway to substances that made him feel more like himself (whoever that was, Holden didn’t know for sure.) Though he started off with mellow narcotics, cocaine was another story, and its powerful edge on his mind, not to mention his energy, shattered five light bulbs before his grandmother came to the conclusion that he would’ve been better off with the Grimoire from the start. Despite how skeptical he was, an episode where candles lit up on their own after a hit (or three) changed his mind. Rather than cleaning up with his realization, Holden clung to the idea that the drugs assist him with getting in touch with his magic, and as he read on in the family Grimoire, circumstances only continue to fall toward rock bottom. Moving out on his own after one too many arguments that focused on how his grandmother had lied for far too long, not to mention his unsettling addiction, Holden hasn’t thought to bother trying to put his life back together. Magic is the only way to feel close to his “real” family again, so he’ll do anything to get there
Considering the previous player hasn’t claimed it I would go ahead and say yes :D Feel free to apply for him.
Problem solved Anon :D Thanks for letting us know.
Bennett Iverson | 25/90 | Vampire | Daniel Sharman | OPEN
↳ “It is what it is. No reason to get all bent out of shape because of it.”
✔ — easygoing, clever, discreet
✘ — indifferent, lonely, reckless
Though he wanted to be a filmmaker, Bennett Iverson’s position on science fiction and horror has changed significantly since his transition into immortality. As a traveler since birth, he’d been fascinated by the thought of fantasy becoming reality since he was a child. The cities always moved so quickly, and the blurring shadows never failed to catch his eye. There are unfamiliar things in strange places no matter what state, and he’s learned that with ease. Of course, specifics weren’t always included - but that didn’t matter for all too long. The only thing he loved more than writing scripts was going through with finding their objectives - or, for a more technical name: inspiration. One lucky evening, Bennett found his strongest muse yet in quite the unlikely place. Befriending a suspicious young man by the name of Theo near the back of a night club, the fanatic hardly suspected that his new companion would save his life - or destroy it; that depended on how someone looked at his scenario. Immortality hadn’t, strictly speaking, been a choice, but he hadn’t really wanted to die, either.
It wasn’t like he’d known that his friend was a vampire - perhaps there were a couple hints tossed into their conversations, but nothing was obvious enough for the film buff. Unfortunately, he hadn’t really known that a passing car would render him hours ‘til dead. Having smelled the blood, Theo took Bennett to the hospital as fast as he could. It seemed like it would be too late, but accepting that was too much - taking fate into his own hands, the vampire decided to play God. The first few years were easier to enjoy; the two boys were careful, cautious hunters who watched each other’s backs with clumsy smiles. Believe it or not, vampirism distracted Bennett’s writer’s block - it didn’t seem to be much of a problem at all, anymore. When they made it to Vegas, enthused by the scene’s working magic, it wasn’t long before Theo was captured by hunters and left his friend feeling both physically and emotionally defenseless. Since then, immortality’s shadow has began stalking his conscience. Hunting no longer has any value, nor does his limitless strength and power. To be honest, he’s just watching the world in its dull, fading light - and trying to hide from any lingering slayers.
Jasper Trescott | 26/100 | Reaper | Jamie Campbell Bower | TAKEN
↳ “In time you will learn that I have done this world a favor.”
✔ — witty, observant, affable
✘ — indifferent, careless, censorious
It’s in poor taste, not to mention dangerous, for a reaper to play God. However, that’s exactly what Jasper Trescott does with his abilities that play on the fingertips of life and death. In his own mind, what he is doing is for the best - a survival of who he sees is the fittest. He finds the complete randomness of life to be much too unfair for his liking, and Jasper had decided that it was his job to fix it from the moment he became a reaper. He’s not at all an impatient man, being very thorough and investigative with what he does. That doesn’t mean he is considerate and careful though, it’s quite the opposite. Everything goes by his rules, his decisions. If Jasper decides that he doesn’t like a person after a few hours of talking to them, they’re good as dead. For a good cause of course, if you ask him. He would say that their wasteful life has brought new meaning for someone better, and that he is cleansing the world (as he sees fit). That kind of behavior from a reaper isn’t well looked upon. It’s one thing to not do your job, but doing it incorrectly and playing by your own rules is punishable.
Somehow, Jasper manages to stay under the radar. Perhaps it’s his easygoing, witty and trustworthy personality. No one suspects a thing from Jasper as he tries to learn what makes a person tick, and whether or not they should be allowed to keep on living. He possesses a friendly charm that most reapers try to have as they escort the terminally ill or injured off to their respective ends. It’s the perfect cover that Jasper doesn’t even mind faking either, as the people he doesn’t deem worthless can be quite interesting to him. So what’s a reaper to do, but keep doing what he wants? Death isn’t on his heels quite yet, not making threats to end his reign of being an ‘Angel of Death’. Until then, Jasper keeps on ridding the world of ‘evils’ - and to be quite honest, even if he was threatened, there wouldn’t be much that could stop him except his own death. It’s a matter that he doesn’t even consider, because who would want him to stop bettering the world? He’s one of the few that is actually making a difference, he thinks. Those that protest him are certainly the next few to be traded in for a human Jasper likes better.
Lucas Mercer | 29/34 | Vampire | Josh Dallas | OPEN
↳ “What do you want me to say? That I want a hunter to catch me? Fine. I do.”
✔ — polite, alert, logical
✘ — self-loathing, detached, hopeless
Living forever was just something that Luke had joked about when he was younger. It was a plot line for the bad movies he watched with his sisters and his friends. It never sounded that bad, not until he was left with no choice in the matter. At twenty-nine years old, he was engaged, happy, and working his dream job as a paramedic. The hours were grueling and often took a toll, but no one would ever hear Luke complain. He’d actually be ecstatic in his exhaustion, mumbling confusing stories of who he helped today to his fiancee, Nina, before he passed out. He just never imagined that his work would be his undoing. Three in the morning wasn’t an usual time for Luke to be awake and already at the hospital, and it especially wasn’t uncommon that he’d be in an ambulance, getting to a location of emergency. A fight had taken place - later Luke would discover that it was between a vampire and a hunter. The vampire had won, and spent no time hesitating on new targets that were practically walking right into his lap. While his coworker was busy trying to save the other man’s life, Luke chased the vampire down the alley way, not knowing that it was just what it wanted. Immediately pinned and being bled dry, it didn’t take much time before he was slumped down, and beginning his transition into a vampire after being turned for fun.
Once he woke up a dead man, Luke wasn’t sure what had just happened, and his mind was running too fast for him to even comprehend it. He mistook his craving for blood as just being hungry. Both him and his partner had been missing for hours, but Luke’s first instinct was to return home to his fiancee, which he would later regret for the rest of his life. While she was relieved to see him, the smell and sound of her blood rushing through her veins was too much for him to handle as she wrapped her arms around him. Immediately feeding off of her, it took everything he had to stop himself in order to save her life. She was terrified, calling him a monster, and trying to distance herself from the man she was supposed to love. In impulsive urgency, Luke compelled her to forget him, to forget everything that had happened. He compelled everyone he knew to forget that he existed, and it took him less than a week to flee his hometown, and move to Las Vegas, where he could hide in plain sight as he tried to prevent himself from murdering every person he saw. Now being five years into his eternal life, Luke is more or less doing everything he can to try and end it. Even if that means ripping his fangs out of his mouth every chance he gets.
Livvie Lennox | 25 | Witch | Ksenia Solo | OPEN
↳ “If you liked that, just wait until you see what else I can do!”
✔ — easygoing, skillful, amenable
✘ — impressionable, distracted, indecisive
Knowing that she was a witch for nearly her entire life, Livvie Lennox has only begun her practice within the last five years in secret, due to her mother’s insistence. She mainly only practices to build up her skill - not usually using her powers for any sort of gain, although she certainly could. She enjoys her magical abilities, finding that when she practices, it’s almost soothing. Livvie’s mother had always tried to convince her daughter that it was incredibly dangerous to do, and that some hunters go solely after witches due to what they are capable of. She always just brushed this off to her mother being paranoid and overprotective, but to ease her nerves, Livvie decided to lie to her mother. Though when she does, it calms her nerves, as she charms endless amounts of jewelery and objects, as well as conjuring up small items. Livvie is very aware that she is capable of much more, but she doesn’t want to get in over her head, so she keeps things simple… for now. To keep peace in her family as well as not draw in the hunters her mom keeps talking about, she had decided to keep her magic a secret from everyone, no matter how much she wants to show off.
Though as time passes by, it’s getting harder and harder for Livvie to stop experimenting with new magic. She’s even gotten a little interested in black magic, but she soon stopped herself. If her mother was so bent on making sure she didn’t practice magic at all, she definitely couldn’t get herself involved with that. Still, her infatuation with magic was becoming a little too much for her to hide, which is when she decided to move away from her family. Livvie wanted to go somewhere loud and full of energy, where she wouldn’t have to hide away. The first city that came to mind was the fabulous Las Vegas. Moving away from her small town home at the age of twenty-two, she was inspired by all of the bright lights, and bustling crowds. She just about found the nearest apartment that she liked, and bought it right away to start off her new life in the City of Sin. Now that she has no worries about her magic, Livvie has decided to take things up a notch, experimenting with just about every spell she can get her hands on. Although she still has it in her head to be careful, her mother’s words always floating in the back of her mind.
